Donating over the phone

If you’ve donated over the phone in the past, MDANZ’s 100% owned tele fundraising company, Calls 4 Charity, are the friendly team that you’ve been speaking with. It’s great to know that because of this relationship, every dollar of your gift goes directly to MDA..

We also want to reassure you that MDANZ cares about keeping your personal and financial information secure. We do not keep credit card information for any donations made over the phone, as we use secure payment facility, Flo2Cash, to manage credit/debit card and direct debit bank payments.

When called, a large percentage of our donors used the Spark 0900 number donation service to make gifts to MDA. That service has now closed and so thanks to our partnership with Flo2Cash, we can now offer new donation methods methods making giving to MDANZ even more safe and secure.

Here are the ways you can donate to make a difference to the lives of our members that are affected by incurable neuromuscular conditions:

Give over the phone NEW!

One-time Donations. Simply provide your bank account details and while on the phone you are able to give us the authority for us to set up a one-time debit against your account.

Monthly Giving. As with above, you are able to give us the authority to set up a regular payment plan that is determined by you – no filling out direct debit forms required!

Give safely using your credit card

One-time donations – we will provide you with an electronic link to the Flo2Cash payment platform so that you can enter your details and process the donation instantly. Alternatively, you can give us your credit card details over the phone and we will process the donation.

Monthly Giving -as with above, you are also able to set up a regular payment plan on the Flo2Cash platform using your credit card.

Use the internet

Bank website – if you are familiar with online/internet banking, simply log on to your bank and make a one-time payment transfer or set up a regular payment plan.

MDANZwebsite – our website accepts one-time or monthly donations using a credit or debit card. Go to www.mda.org.nz and click the donate button.

Post your donation

Handwrite your card details – using the Donation Pledge form that we send out, write down your debit or credit card details and post it back to us.

Cash -using the Donation Pledge form that we send out, you can put cash into the pre-paid envelope and post it back to us.

Automatic Payment Form – using the Automatic Payment form here, decide how much you wish to donate and how often, and then take the completed form to your bank or post it to us.

More information is available in this letter our Executive Chairperson wrote to our valued 0900 number donors. No matter how you donate to MDANZ, you will still receive a receipt and every donation of $5 or more is tax deductible.

You can claim your tax online

There’s no need to complete a paper form because you can claim donation tax credits online in a myIR account, Inland Revenue’s secure online service. It’ll mean that you receive your refund much sooner. Your receipts can be electronic receipts, or photos or scans of paper receipts and be uploaded anytime during the year.
