Covid-19 Members Update

Members Update at 1st September 2021

Kia ora koutou and warm greetings,

We hope you are seeing some light in the tunnel with yesterday’s news of fewer new COVID-19 cases, an encouraging sign. We obviously have a way to go still, and we send you and your whānau best wishes as we continue our Alert Level 4 lockdown in Auckland and Northland. Our hearts are with any whānau who are experiencing illness and hardship.

Following the Government’s announcement on Monday 30th August, areas south of Auckland are now at Alert Level 3. This will be reviewed by Government on Monday 6th September. The Northland region is at Alert Level 4 until at least 11:59pm on Thursday 2nd September. Auckland is at Alert Level 4 for at least another 2 weeks, with a review on Monday 13th September.

For MDANZ members, this still means:

  • All in-person visits nationwide from Fieldworkers and Community Staff have been cancelled and will take place via phone or online until we reach Alert Level 1.
  • National Support Office and Branch staff are working exclusively from home until further notice.
